Wow, there are some good guys in there. And only 5 will make it. You can't keep Cris Carter out of there anymore. Curtis Martin and Bettis are both fringe in my opinion. Eddie D should be in there no question. Tim Brown should get in. Doleman and Greene are also right on the edge to me. Parcells and Roaf should both make it. If Steve Tasker makes it then Hester will be first ballot HOF.

I would go Tim Brown, Cris Carter, Ed DeBartolo Jr, Parcells, Willie Roaf.

I can't say on some of the older guys because I didn't see them. Roger Craig also deserves to be in there. He changed the position. He was the first dual threat RB. He was Faulk before Faulk was.

I'd like to see Don Coryell get in there before Parcells, just a shame that they refuse to recognize his contribution to the NFL simply because he wasn't able to put together a Championship team.

Limits are stupid. If the person is a hall of famer, they're a hall of famer. And I never understood why the vote somebody in like 30 years after they played. Were they not of HOF caliber 25 years ago? Or 15 or 10 for that matter?

The answer is no, they were not HoF caliber then, and likely still aren't. The Hall of Fame Seniors Committee is required to have two senior (pre-1987) nominees as finalists. It makes no sense to me, can someone help me figure this out?

I'll throw my 2 cents in, because the stupid press voters that vote the hall of fame put in people like Paul Hornung, Career stats
TOTAL

893 3,711 4.2 0 50 130 1,480 11.4 0 12 0 0

The only thing impressive about it is the number of TD's and there he is in the Hall of Fame because Media Bias that fell in love with a dynasty put him in but there is Roger Craig, Career stats
TOTAL

1,991 8,189 4.1 71 56 566 4,911 8.7 73 17 5 3

Who had better stats? and who is in the hall of fame? and who was more of a reason for their dyansty to be winning?

Craig will eventually get in, but he's going to be one of those players that gets in probably 20 something years after he retired. Just look at some of the Niner greats who waited almost half their lifetime to get inducted into HOF - those players were outstanding players but whether it was due to stats or not being mentioned as the very best is his respective position, they waited.
