Do you have the follow-up post prepared for Friday for the 25th anniversary of the medal-stripping?
Another thing that flies under the radar- Carl Lewis was awarded the gold medal in '88 after Ben Johnson was stripped, but if you review the race, Lewis stepped on the lane line not once but twice and should have been disqualified for a lane violation.

Have you watched 9.79* Boss? It was very well done.
Did you know that 6 out of the 8 guys in that race either tested positive for drugs, or were linked to and implicated for drug use?

dont you have to step out AND obstruct to be disqualified in track ?
Runners in sprint events must remain in their assigned lanes throughout the race. A runner veering outside of his or her assigned lane is subject to disqualification, unless he or she was forced out by another runner or strays slightly in the straightaway or the outside portion of a turn and no advantage is gained. The 100-meter is the only race where runners are side-by-side. In all others, they are staggered to varying degrees to account for turns.
