I didn't hear about any trades until I got home that night and my cousin called me. I still don't know why Carson wanted to go to Edmonton.

lol - Bruce McNall (then Kings owner) told Jimmy Carson at the end of the Kings season in '88 to buy a house and be prepared to stay with the Kings as he and Robitaille were going to be with the Kings for a very long time. Carson goes and gets himself a place in Redondo Beach.

Jimmy put up 49 goals in that first season with the Oilers (not exactly chopped liver). He just never fit it with that Oilers group (although a group led by that asshat Kevin Lowe would be a tough one to crack).
