Canucks are splitting their squad tonight (obviously), and STILL barely playing any veterans.
no Sedins, no Luongo, no Kesler, no Hamhuis, no Samuelsson, no Edler, no Ehrhoff .... even Mason Raymond gets the night off
meanwhile, Flames are pretty much dressing their A squad for the home half.
that one should be a good test for the young 'uns.

At a quick glance, that seems to be a tough list to pick from. Is Morrison gonna have to work a little harder than others to make the cut?

I wouldn't think so.
He seems willing to play for league min, and doesn't seem to have any hang-ups about taking a 4th line role.
He is skilled enough to take spot duty on any of the lines if need be.

on the other hand, I get the feeling he will jump at the first contract thrown his way. Possibly give the Nucks a chance to match if he thinks he will get regular ice time. He should end up somewhere.
