I think Tyler Warren goes high for sure, if he’s still available at 14 I think the Colts definitely take him given that they didn’t have much production at the TE position last year at all, but it’s possible he goes to the Jets at 7, they need a TE as well and he’s a great player, and there might be a couple of other teams with high picks interested. I think Loveland could fall some but the Colts need a TE so badly I could see them taking him if Warren is gone when they pick.
Definitely not a great receiving class IMO, especially after last year’s fantastic class.

I have Warren in a similar situation to Jeanty. Teams you wouldn't necessarily expect could take him. I do think the Jets should go RT, but the Jets aren't necessarily predictable. Glenn could push for defensive instead and I wouldn't be surprised. Like Graham if he's there.

This WR class doesn't have a ton at the top but has a decent group in the middle of this draft. Not much drop off from one player to the next and a nice mixture of different types of WR's. I have about 17-18 names I like but don't love. There are a couple that I do love but specifically for the Broncos because of their body types and what Payton has liked at the WR position in the past.

Hunter is the best WR prospect in this draft easily imo. That says more about him than the other guys. He can line up anywhere too. After watching more film I would play him at WR and situational DB, like big 3rd downs or when you need a stop. He can be an All-Pro WR. Reminds me of a Justin Jefferson type
Opinions!
Watching the highlights of Hunter, I see a WR that will not be able to dominate the D-backs like he did in college.
He'll still be very good as a WR but I see him as a cornerback 1st.

If you're going to play him at both positions, it's much more likely to be part time WR and full time CB than vice versa. We've seen that before.
The problem with part-time WR is when he enters the huddle you know that he is likely getting the ball.....

Not necessarily. A huge part of the Chiefs offense for years was Tyreek Hill doing a bunch of fake Jet Sweep plays. They would hand it to him a few times just to make a defense have to guess where the ball is going. You can use Hunter as a decoy to open things up in other places around the field.

Pretty expensive decoy. If you give him offensive snaps and pay him as WR, I would suspect he would get more than a few handles

Agreed. You do build in touches to make sure he gets the ball. I'm just saying that let's say he has 15 snaps a game and ends up with 5 touches you can do a lot in that small sample. And those other 10 snaps can definitely make a defense guess where the ball is going and open up other players as defenses do everything to stop Hunter.

Hunter's best trait as a WR is ball tracking imo. If I only had him for 10 plays on offense, they'd be 3rd downs and I guess Id give him something like the Randy Moss route tree which IIRC is super simple.

Although if he had to work on his release package then maybe a vertical slot.

I think it'll be a really good class for #2 WRs. Although maybe the current rankings are wrong. For example, Chris Simms has

1. Travis Hunter
2. Kyle Williams (?)
3. Tet McMillan
4. Jaylin Noel
5. Tre Harris

Simms likes to be contrarian

This young man played "Coach Jerry" like a fiddle. Looks like he will be the first WR off the board at 12

I always hate when they do player comps. Of course they compare them to top tier players in the game. To me what they should say is height/weight/speed this is who they line up well physically with and probably their ceiling is at the level of this player.

I kinda hate the Deebo comp in general. He only had 1 great season as a receiver and his value is as a hyrbid player which isnt that common.

They're useful to frame a player's build and style, but really buying into them generally doesn't end well. Quick and dumb is better than actually spelling it out for people I guess.

Yeah I get why they do them to show a similar style of game play. It just gets fans going crazy believing that player will become the comp when reality is the odds of them getting close to that level is slim. They rarely pick a middle of the pack type player. It is players known by fans that has made a major impact in the league. I get it, but it is still annoying when I have fans say "Well Ashton Jeanty is supposed to be the next Ladainian Tomlinson. You are comparing him to a top-10 RB of all time. I think Jeanty will be special but that is almost impossible for him to live up to.

Kind of circling around to my final thoughts. I think McMillan (ignoring Hunter) is just a way better or at least I should say safer prospect than the other guys because he will just catch the ball in traffic and be able to beat CBs one on one for the ball with his catch radius on those important 3rd and 8's that make or break games and I think his ability after the catch is a little underrated because he isn't seen as a burner. I think he goes top 15 and maybe top 10 (which is kind of crazy because last year he'd likely be the #5 WR) and he is the best fit IMO for the Cowboys if they go WR. I probably wouldn't take any of the others in the top 20 and I'm hoping Dallas passes on all of them and in particular Golden who there are a lot of whispers about if they don't like McMillan or if he is gone. I just don't think any of these other guys are all that good. Good Pros, but not future #1's like you look for in the 1st or at least early in the 1st. Personally Burden is my #2. I throw out this past year and think he is the only other guy with star potential. Based on what you are hearing I have no clue if he goes top 15 or in the second round. My wet dream draft is he falls to Dallas at 44. Then I think Egbuka and Golden go somewhere in the 25ish range. I think those 4 all go in the 1st and after them I really don't have any clue how to rank the others.

Biggest boom or bust guy IMO is Golden. On the right team and with a QB/Offense that could capitalize on his speed he could really be dynamic. I just don't think that is my team. The Chiefs or Lions? Sure. I think Tet is the safest and I think Egbuka is pretty safe too but won't be a #1. I think he could be a high volume slot guy in the right offense. He might be the guy to have an impact right off the bat out of the slot. He reminds me of a Godwin type guy who you don't think of as a top player but when the year is over you realize he always seems to catch a bunch of balls. He is kind of the ideal #2 if you have a stud, which is what he was on his own team in College. Burden is the tough one, but I just think he is probably the most talented and can play the slot or the outside.

He's a confusing case, almost a forgotten man in this mix. One year of bad QB play and he seems to have slipped out of people's minds.

Watching his tape, it's difficult to not be interested. He's such a threat with the ball in his hands.

Worth mentioning that Mizzou's offensive coordinator is Kirby Moore who is a former WR and brother to Kellen Moore. He might be possibly confusing to the average fan and maybe slightly forgotten but the NFL likely knows exactly who he is, how to use, what happened, what kind of man he is, etc.

I think his profile is somewhat close to DJ Moore coming out of college. He went 24th overall in a better draft. If Burden drops to rd2 its for reasons other than talent imo. Or a Mizzou fan Id say the talent is certainly rd1. Its just hard to say if he hits his stride in the NFL. Historically speaking WR is a hard position to project at the next level outside of a couple of schools that seem to be reliable (LSU, Ohio State, USC, Alabama)

I've read where many scout types think there are only 4 wides after Hunter worth a 1st or 2nd.
McMillan, Golden, Egbuka and Burden.

I like Egbuka over Golden and Burden if McMillan is gone for my team.
