My target this round was Savion Williams. I also like Xavier Restrepo. A guy I had on my college fantasy team for 3 years. ;)... Sure, he doesn't have the straight line speed but he finds ways to get open and he is tough as nails. He probably isn't a Sean Payton type of WR though.

My best value player left is a player that Denver is pretty deep at...

I went with Quincy Riley, a player I have loved since watching him his SOPH year. I think he goes higher then people realize come real draft. Denver has what I would call 3 good CB's but Riley Moss typically misses a few weeks of the season dating back to college and when Surtain was out last year Denver clearly had no other CB after their top 3 that could step up. Damarri Mathis after looking good his rookie year hasn't been the same and he and McMillian (their #3 CB who has played well) are both FA's after next year. Riley was just too good for me to pass here. Ballhawk who can play the slot or outside. Tackling is pretty good, could get a little better ad probably will but really like him. He also seems to fit the mold of what Payton/Joseph like to add to their defense. IMO, the value was there and the position is something that Denver could really take at any time of the draft. Top 3 are good but almost need 4 good CB's in the AFC West. Both starting CB's went down for a few weeks last year and it wasn't pretty behind them.

For the first time in a few years Denver doesn't have 7 blazing needs. I forgot what it was like to draft without a crap load of needs. Looked at DL and WR here but thought Riley's value was much better.

I would hate this in real life.

You know i have him pegged for tennesee at the top of round 4.

Man, Restrepo is fun, and was always open last year. Doesn't come without concern though, I worry about drafting NFL receivers that I could outrun in HS lol

Yeah, but no way he's a "4.8" guy on his college tape. Hadda be dealing with something when he ran, I'd assume (which may also not be great, but whateverrrrr).

Oh, it was reported he was actually hurt at pro day? Well, there you go.

Yeah, most likely he's a 4.5/4.6 guy when he's right. It really is secondary though for his game. I drafted him for the quicks, the hands, and the bastdarddry. :heh:

Restrepo had been consistently running between 4.53 and 4.58 before his proday.. He ran thinking he was healthy enough to run between that range. He is a competitive guy and while injured teams had planned on coming to see him run since he didn't run at the combine. He wanted to show them he could run in the 4.53-4.58 range so there wouldn't be questions about "Why didn't you run at either", while not healthy the thought was he was healthy enough to run. He wasn't...

I think the Steelers is a good fit for him. I love him. Would have considered him there with Denver. I thought maybe people would freak out and he would fall a bit further.. Not exactly a Sean Payton type of WR otherwise I would have done it... I think I was going to go Riley either way as I try to draft a bit like the Broncos but I like Restrepo enough that I may have said screw Payton I am going my way. ;)

Restrepo is Hines Ward-ish.

and that's a good thing. Too much value or de-value is given to 40 times.

You want a real 40? Run in pads and helmet or gtfooh

Tape does not lie

Packers are on the clock. I don't love the Ferguson value, but TE is a critical need and this draft has not been kind to the Chargers on TE so far.

I don't think it is a bad value, I just can think of a few players I would have preferred with the pick.

Fun to look back at some of the DB's I have drafted in DCFFL.

I actually got two the Broncos actually drafted.

Patrick Surtain and Delarrin Turner-Yell

Others

Jevon Holland
Jeremy Chinn
James Bradberry
Anthony Harris (who denver signed years after)
Cam Taylor-Britt
Jarrian Jones
Quincy Riley
AJ Green
Sydney Brown
Amani Hooker
Kendall Sheffield
Jaylin Simpson
Joshua Bledsoe
Kevin Peterson
Eddie Jackson
Rashaan Gaulden

Got James Bradberry well after he went in the real draft. AJ Green is not my claim to fame. Took him at the end of Rd 3 and he went undrafted. I guess at least he made the Browns and is still in the NFL.

I may go back and look at more but those are ones I remember off the top of my head.

Little surprised Charles Grant was still there. Like what the Bills have done so far. Good value. Really like Jalen Royals.

Can't complain how things have fallen for the Rams and Bills drafts thus far. I was hoping the OT interest had been diverted lol...
