He can drop 60 in less than two months if they get him a dietician and trainer. Literally that will be his job. Workout and eat right. Not saying it will happen but at that weight…60 is nothing.

Ill take the under. Or the over. Whichever one means "460 pound fat guy stays fat and over 400 pounds after two months" that's the one I want.

Really surprised Cam Jackson was still around. One of the most overlooked players in this years draft. No way Desmond Watson goes before him.

I think Hawes goes earlier than this. Best blocking TE in this draft. Doubt he ever makes a catch though.

Let's finish strong. Reminder the last two rounds the clock drops one hour. So 4 hours to make picks. Shouldn't be a problem. Hasn't been so far.

That's the thing about those blocking TE's...you can get good value late in the draft as a TE2 or TE3 for a specific team. I don't think most teams value them enough

I was just pointing out it isn't as crazy as you think for a young athlete. It's achievable in one offseason if they put in the effort. Obviously the kid put himself in the situation eating like shit.

If they're not a threat to catch a ball at all, why not just use an extra offensive lineman instead? There needs to be some threat as a receiver to make it worthwhile IMO.

I'm sure he's heard it from coaching for 4 years now, if not back in high school as well. Is a UDFA tryout going to knock sense into him finally?

Yep, pretty much my point. Like football factory UF doesn't have trainers/dieticians to hook him up with?

The bolded is the crux of my entire opinion on him going undrafted. I never said it was "crazy", per se, I said it won't happen. :D Most probably cuz of the individual's life choices.

Teams are going to expect that a guy, rolling out there closer to 5 bills than 4, is going to all of a sudden do an about face and drop the hundo he needs to be a dependable asset? I'mma be betting against that every, single time.

I'll happily eat crow if Watson proves me wrong (I mean...if there's any left when he's done).

Dawand Jones lost 40 pounds or more after being over 400 for most of his career and in college. He’s dealt with injuries for most of his NFL career so far so maybe that sunk in. Saw a pic of him recently and it appears he looked pretty “slim” lol

No clue if this kid has the drive/desire and if he does can he keep it off

The whole basis of the conversation is not based on this player but that someone can’t lose the weight pretty quickly being a pro athlete. Yes they can

Had my heart set on Nick Martin. Not a dire need for Denver but planned to draft BPA here and After my Round 4 pick I sorta had it in my head that I would take Nick Martin or Cam Jackson if either was available. At the time not expecting either to get back to me.. Then with one pick to go I thought for sure I was gonna end up getting Martin.. Nooooo, shopson has to ruin that. ;)

Taking his teammate who was the other guy I really wanted to grab late if still around. Would have taken both with my next two picks if they were both still around.

Whats the track record on Oklahoma St defensive players? It seemed like they were a bit of a dumpster fire last year

Beggars can't be choosers in the 6th round. I don't know that recruiting the helmet makes sense consistently anyway?

Martin missed a chunk of the year injured after a breakout 2023, so maybe that contributed to that?

6th round does allow a person to throw some darts, thats for sure. I suspect only a couple of my 6th round picks have actually done well in all of these years

Some solid picks recently.

Really like Raheem Sanders, Tahj Books, Collin Oliver and Nick Martin at this stage.
