Flashbacks of last year...almost as bad
Miami just lived at the line going 26 for 27 n the 2nd half alone

Texas was running them off the floor in a wide open game, but all those free throws just slowed the game down to a slog
The tempo just completely changed from an up and down game to a never ending whistle game

I am not saying it was awful calls, but Texas could not score without its low post offensive player in Disu.
They needed the open game, which it was for the first 30 minutes, then it suddenly was every single call stopping the flow

Well the mighty ACC got just 3 teams into the round of 32 and just Miami into the Sweet 16.

Not sure if it's a slam on the ACC as much as it is all major conferences. Pac was horrible this year outside of UCLA and UCLA won't be in the PAC much longer, B1G sucked outside of MSU. Big 12 did ok but UT won't be in the Big 12 much longer either. SEC had 3 in the Sweet 16 but none beyond that. The best conf is the only major without big time football.

Is this year just a fluke or is this what happens with NIL and the transfer portal both out of control?

UConn as a favorite is pretty wild! But it is definitely not over yet... They other elite eight games were absolutely bonkers. I would not be surprised if any team won....

Just by looking at who the final four teams have played in the tournament and how they won, I feel like UConn and FAU are going to play for the championship. I can't believe in 2023 that one of the teams playing for a National Championship in College Basketball is going to be either Florida Atlantic or San Diego State. And honestly, I hope one of them wins it. I hope FAU or SDSU are crowned as the National Champs. Let's go Cinderella!

A #2 and #3 made it in 2006 and a #3 made it in 2011.

2023 marks the first time ever that a 1, 2, and 3 failed to reach the Final Four.
