Purdue underachieving is the easiest bet of all.

I had them losing in the round of 32 in all my brackets, but this was even worse than I thought.

Did anyone's bracket have Furman and FDU? Very unlikely.

Purdue lost to a team that was 4-22 last season and only made this tournament because the conference champion was ineligible.

Can’t make that shit up.

So about 30 years ago there was a joke about Purdue. It went "they are removing the floor at Mackey Area and replacing it with one made out of cardboard. The they were asked why; the answer was because Purdue always plays better on paper".

Apparently, it is still true.

Why do teams whether losing or winning by big deficits (15 or more) with 1 minute left, leave their starters in the game. The winning teams risks an injury, and the losing team could at least let the bench players say they were in a tournament game. Coaches can be such jackasses.

I've never seen such a useless trash university consistently fail with high recruits.

What kind of fucked up rule is that? You have to play 5 seasons in D-I to go to the NCAA's? Merrimack (18-16) would be representing if they were eligible.

How you have Virginia that low? No one in their right mind penciled them past Round 32.

Lucky man. Honestly, I don't care that much. It was just a novel thing while it lasted that I was getting them all right and the wife was getting them all wrong.

I always enjoy March Madness. What would make it even better is if someone beats dook.

Why would you call Purdue a trash university just because its basketball has problems in the tournament. The graduates of Purdue can compete with those of any in the country, especially those coming out with an engineering degree. It is a high-quality academic university just as all of the B10 schools are.
That cannot be said for all of the other Power 5 conferences.
