Dont get why this is horrible at all.

Still play the most games in your own division.

But now instead of 6 series each its 4 and you get to play every NL team once which is cool

How is it horrible again? Teams were making the playoffs because they played 57 games against bad/mediocre teams

Interleague was fun for a while... But not anymore.... They need to be cutting it back, not adding more.

They should rotate one interleague division per year. ALE plays NLE one year, NLC the next year, NLW the following. Alternate home field, so Yanks go to Wrigley one year, Cubs go to the Bronx three years later, etc. A mix of 3-4 game series (for easier scheduling) should have 15-18 Interleague games. That is it

Then each teams play non division rivals 2-3 series for about 75 games.

That would leave 7 or 8 series against your division.

Hard to go backwards, but one wild card would be fine, too...

Honestly I don't mind interleague. It's fun to play NL teams and it would probably help the sport market it's stars if they're able to play against every team more consistently instead of playing against certain markets maybe once every 2-3 years. It might mean fewer games between divisional rivals, but honestly outside of a few rivalries (Giants-Dodgers, Yanks-Red Sox, Mets-Braves, Cubs-Cards) a lot of MLB's "rivalries" seem to be based around two teams being good at the same time.

I'm fine with this, especially if the DH is going universal. Why pretend there's a difference between the two leagues at that point?

Giants open at NY.

I'm confident Aaron Judge will be playing. I'm less confident for which team.,

Yankees first 6 games are against NL clubs, which is weird.

I can go either way on this. Less games against rivals but in piss poor divisions there isn't as much of a chance for a team to beat up on 3 bad teams and end up with an inflated record to steal a wild card spot from a more deserving team. For instance, the NL central is a combined 51 games under 500. If the Brewers manage to jump into a wild card (1.5 games out) would they really deserve it over the Phillies or San Diego from much better divisions? The Cubs, Reds and Pirates are a combined 72 games below 500.

Will the Yankee fans be respectful of Judge wearing the Black and Orange, or will they boo him?

The balanced schedule, I think, is a precursor to realignment. There should just be 6 or 8 divisions, with no “leagues” anymore. I have mapped out a realignment for this a few times that is at least a good start. I am too lazy to find it right now, though.

With the game being broken in both leagues now, there is no reason for the AL/NL anymore.

Wait, are the Giants owners going to get off their wallets and sign a good player for a change?

Who knows what will actually happen. But all local radio and most fans are already writing out their 2023 lineups with him in the 3 or 4 slot.

Personally, I would put it at about 30% that he signs with the Giants. And that is probably an over estimate.
