Chase Strumpf

Amateur scouts likened Strumpf to fellow Pacific-12 Conference star and Cubs 2018 first-rounder Nico Hoerner because both were right-handed hitters who focused on driving balls from gap to gap while controlling the strike zone. Strumpf has been a different guy in pro ball, however, and his production has suffered as he has aggressively tried to launch balls out of the park to his pull side. He's still drawing walks and making hard contact when he connects but Chicago would like to see him make some adjustments to keep his bat in the zone longer.

Because he's a fringy runner with average arm strength, Strumpf derives most of his value from his bat. He's not particularly notable on the bases or in the field, and he played mostly third base last year because of team needs in Double-A. The Cubs still view him as more of a second baseman, though he did prove capable at the hot corner.

being defencive....robert e lee....should never have attacked...at grttysburg..but a slow re-treat or..an action toward..washington..would have
re-ditributed the union forces...and got them off those hills...

defencive hit and run..holding...not attacking..........harassing..attrition..could have saved much....a lesson from the revolution...not used

and an other mistake...letting the union choose...the ground..however...we are mariners here

i pray let them..not make mistakes..

and learn...from the past one....amen brother
