Out of all sports. Football and reporting to training camp always sneaks up on me the most. Only eight weeks until we're watching regular season NFL football. Regardless of how good or horrible we are. I can't wait for football!

With N’Keal Harry now in the picture, let’s take a stab at what the Bears’ Week 1 roster and depth chart will look like.

Some immediate observations when going over this potential roster:

*I think there are still cuts and signings off other teams' cuts to be made. This just doesn't have the feel of a final 53 man roster.
*Based on a bunch of relative no names sprinkled in, the OL and DL are in need of big time improvement. Will more help arrive this summer?
*The defense has swapped unit rankings. Last year most agreed the secondary was the weakest of the three units. Now it appears to be the strongest.
*I'm not so sure the WR group is as weak as just about everyone else is making it out to be. Definitely not a strong group, but there's some talent here.

Damn, 1 day of training camp and this writer already has a dozen takeaways:

I don't buy for a nanosecond takeaway #2. I doubt anyone else does either.
I don't like takeaway #8 at all. Starters should not be tasked such key ST duties as returning punts. We have plenty of other candidates for this.
