There are 8 starting pitchers still on the market. Two of them have said that they are waiting out the pandemic (Leake and Sanchez). The other 6 (including Samardzija) are probably waiting out spring training, to see how suddenly needs a starting pitcher but I think, if he wants to prolong his career, he'll need to convert to relief.
