he became a solid player in orlando
If your standard for a number one overall pick is a role player who can be the 3rd or 4th best option on a winning team then you have a point. But he’s always going to be a number 1 overall pick. Those guys are busts if they don’t project to be at least a number 2 option for a team and ideally a franchise changing level talent. He’s never going to be that guy.

I’ve already noted this here but another factor is roster construction. It’s hard to get those Star pieces and you have to sacrifice but I look at a team like your Suns and nearly every key guy is a two way player. Even Book plays better D than when he came into the league but guys like CP3, Bridges, Ayton, Crowder, etc…are two way guys who can play important and effective roles at both ends. Sixers have offensive guys (Maxey Harden Milton Harris) or they have defensive guys (Thybulle Green). They aren’t the same guys. That could hurt them in a series with Bucks Heat Suns Memphis Warriors that have a roster with a ton of two way players. Embiid is the Sixers only two way guy.
Thought Thybulle was going to be a lot better after watching him in the olympics…

big week for the heat as they play all the threats in the east

Monday home to Chicago
Wednsday and Thursday they play in Milwaukee and Brooklyn
Saturday back home for Philly

That Philly came is the start of a 7 game homestand.
And they catch Philly in the 2nd half of a back to back in each of the two remaining Sixers Heat matchups. The first one entails the Sixers have a travel back to back. I’d be shocked if they pull off the Saturday contest.

Agreed. Number 1 picks are supposed to be franchise altering players.

He still has a chance but his offensive development has actually gone backward. He shot the 3 ball better as a rookie than he does now. If he can get his shot to 35% from 3 he’s going to be a 35-37 minute a night player. But he’s a zero right now on offense. Maybe Harden ball can unlock his game but I think it’s gonna have to come from Thybulle himself growing in confidence in taking open threes. Right now, the other team puts their best defender on him and then just doesn’t even cover him using that guy to instead play the role of rover that is help defender that also is fulcrum of double teams. Haven’t given up on him and neither have the Sixers but he needs to show something by next season.

I just wanna say thank you to the 76ers & Lakers for not drafting Tatum. :heh:
And I want to say fuck you again to Adam Silver for sending the Colangelo Fucks my way to try and ruin my franchise haha. Dude not only fucked up the evaluation, he gave away draft capital to trade up and take the wrong player. Still pisses me off. Can you tell?

Nice. Take one of those Gondola rides for me. Also, their poker room is small but very underestimated. There are some killers in there.
That’s why I’m here, I’m one of them lol

Depends on the potential draft picks but you’re right.

Top 3 should be considered franchise changers. If not, you’re screwed!
It also depends on the quality of the draft. Some drafts don’t even have one guy that is a franchise changer. This last draft may have had multiple guys that fit that bill.

Who do you want in the draft? Feels like OKC can be a play in game team next season with how good SGA and Giddey are if they hit on their top 10 pick

Drafts are truly a lotto.

The year before, most thought the Edwards/Ball draft was a waste of a top 3 pick.
