Nets will be fine. Kd is by far the best player. Expected to be back after the break. He just cant get injured again. That's when things get interesting for them. My guess is they end up as the 5 or 6

The question is who is on the team when he returns, and how much ground do they need to make up?

Celtics have been playing amazing lately.

Their defense has been insane for almost the last 2 months. They are def. not missing the playoffs.

Neither are the raptors, nets, or raptors so yes it is likely going to comedown to atlanta vs boston

I just hope its not the Cavs

Atlanta, Boston and Toronto are all playing really good ball.

Cavs have a lot of young guys--- Garland played great, but his back worries me a little. He played 4 college games, then the covid season- and then now. This is by far the most basketball he has ever played. Same with Mobley and Okoro. Knock on wood- Love has stayed relatively healthy thus far.

When it comes down to it- I feel good about the Cavs- i just dont think they are completely out of the woods yet considering the East- while it doesnt have teams like the Suns and Warriors- has a lot of depth.

Charlotte has kinda fallen off a little lately- and they really need to make a move.

strangely enough- Boston and Cleveland are tied for the best point differential in the East- with Miami close close behind.

Not a conidendence those are the 3 best defensive teams in the East

I would love to ask LeBron what he thinks of the Cavs right now. He just lost to a Blazers team that turned over half their roster. The Cavs just cruised to their 7th straight home win.

Lakers 26-30. Cavaliers 34-21.

Its a shock. I cant imagine what kind of odds I would have to have been offered to bet that before the season.

Will the Lakers fire Frank Vogel and be able to trade Russell Westbrook, ON THE SAME DAY?

Stay tuned for the next episode of The OLD and the BEAUTIFUL…

Magic piping in like this isnt a good look
They just seem so down.

Their is just no enthusiasm or momentum or joy at all on that team right now.

Obviously the Cavs/Warriors/Heat were not NEARLY as bad as the Lakers were the year before they lost LeBron/Durant/LeBron- but that joy and enthusiasm definitely waned and made the regular season kind of a slog.

The Lakers dont even have to deal with the pressure of LeBron/Durant maybe leaving since LeBron is signed next year- but this is so much worse.

Its like a fog is over this team. I wonder if it forces them into some kind of deal today.

I HIGHLY doubt an RW trade happens- but if ANYTHING is on the table they have to consider it just to change the narrative and the culture and the feel of the team.

either that or just trade LeBron and pack it in--- you could get a MASSIVE package for 1 1/2 years of LeBron (just dont even think about trading him to the Cavs).

I don't trust KD or Kyrie with injuries + Kyrie until the mandate gets lifted. Then you have Harden, if he stays, he is not engaged. I expect them to be a top 6 seed but if they keep losing until KD comes back it will be a tough hole to dig

With Lebron in Cleveland, they don't have any of those younger assets though. The team would look completely different. Much like how the Lakers could look vastly different without Lebron (and likely AD), keeping all their young assets (and likely drafting Garland).

Took your guys -4.5 tonight. Did I get snookered? That line seemed like 3-4 points too cheap.

It's amazing how tone-deaf Magic can be as to how his comments affect the team lol. I loved the guy as a player, but since then he's been floundering (at least in terms of basketball).

I get it that he's "the Greatest Laker" and I get that he cares about the team and wants them to do well.

However, he needs to stfu. No one is paying him to talk about the Lakers and he had his chance to have major impact on how the team was constructed...but, he didn't want to put in the work that it takes, so he quit (and even managed to fuck that up). Really no reason for him to be listened to at this point.

Celtics been feasting on bad competition and depleted rosters lately... we'll see if they're really a good team coming up.
