When the Nets lose they will be only a .5 ahead of the 7 spot for the play-in. Crazy

I see that as a problem.

Don’t want to minimize Embiid as the roll half of a pick and roll duo.

And I fear he would be used that way too much if paired with Harden.
That’s a legit threat. At the same time, that’s on Doc demanding a diverse attack. They can’t run anything exclusively late in games but it would be damn nice to have a play you can hang your hat on come late in the 4th quarters of playoff games. But they should still run that two man game they run now with Embiid posting. They should also run some 5 out to take advantage of what Harden does. The big thing is you don’t need 35-40 out of Embiid every night. An Embiid that doesn’t have to carry it all gets banged less, should potentially increase his chance to stay healthy, and can return to concentrating more on his defense and rebounding because those are two areas they need to improve right now.

I never liked that trade tbh. To me Brooklyn had such a great team all around before the trade.

KD
Kyrie
Allen
Levert
Dinwiddie
Harris
I didn’t post here then but I thought the same thing. They were very diverse and had nice depth. Even if it works out with health and vaccines, you have ball dominant Kyrie and ball dominant Harden and they gave up a legit 5 and defense. I think the Dinwiddie injury hurt too.

Yep, crazy. I guess Dinwiddie has struggled but he wasn’t struggling in BKN. Add in Allen and LeVert. Hindsight is 20-20 and they have new roles but if he is traded that’s a BIG L

The physical that came with that trade may have saved LeVert’s life. Crazy

It’s like it never occurs to anyone anymore that they might already be good enough if they would maximize what they have.

Yeah it never made sense to me. I was literally arguing with lakers fans before the start of last season about how i thought that nets group was the deepest team in the league 1-15
