The Knicks have been hurt with several guys out for multiple games... (but that's the story of most teams in the NBA this year).I mean, yes. This is true.
But that was their record without him again?
They have a highly flawed roster, and they chose to short cut the build process and try to capitalize on last season’s massive overachievement.
Like pasta, Knick management failed to accurately assess the talent on the roster and now they once again appear destined for mediocrity for the foreseeable future.
With or without Kemba they will have the same fate.
I agree with you that the fundamental problem with the Knicks is that they're a middling team overall... and one that probably overachieved last season, thus bringing expectations into this season that were going to be tough to fulfill.
Kemba and Fournier were always going to be weird fits on a Thibodeau coached team.... such defensive zeroes have to have Thibs pulling out the last few remaining hairs on his head.
