I mean, yes. This is true.

But that was their record without him again?

They have a highly flawed roster, and they chose to short cut the build process and try to capitalize on last season’s massive overachievement.

Like pasta, Knick management failed to accurately assess the talent on the roster and now they once again appear destined for mediocrity for the foreseeable future.

With or without Kemba they will have the same fate.
The Knicks have been hurt with several guys out for multiple games... (but that's the story of most teams in the NBA this year).

I agree with you that the fundamental problem with the Knicks is that they're a middling team overall... and one that probably overachieved last season, thus bringing expectations into this season that were going to be tough to fulfill.

Kemba and Fournier were always going to be weird fits on a Thibodeau coached team.... such defensive zeroes have to have Thibs pulling out the last few remaining hairs on his head.

It hasn’t really though.

This post is cherry picking data big time.

The 3rd place team in the West has the same record as the 1st place team in the East. Detroit and Orlando have been by far the worst two teams in the league.

So, the standings suggest that there are a lot of avergeish teams in the East, but more depth of actual good teams in the West.

And the fact that the Lakers, Nuggets, and Mavs are all 1 game below .500 DOES NOT mean they are somehow inferior to the East counterparts who are at .500 or slightly above.

There's a whole lot of "middle" in the NBA this year.

Not to nit-pick but the 3rd place team in the W (Utah) has a better record today (22-9) than the 1st place Nets (21-9).

With the way the Rockets started the season thought for sure they'd be the worst team in the league this season. But the Pistons said don't forget about us!

Yeah i can't remember the last time a Lebron team been this bad when he actually been playing. I guess you would have to go back to his early Cleveland days within the first 2-3 years.
wonder if Lakers could sign Wrong Way Ricky Davis?

He brought 2 titles to Miami, 1 to LA and 1 to Cleveland.

The fact that YOU think what he brings is “dirty” is absolutely laughable.

Yeah, he forces teams to go all in. But he has delivered a championship in every stop.

I would be worried about the next spot for LBJ because he isn’t the force he once was.

But anybody trying to act like his tenures weren’t worth it have an awful short memory.

Your hyprocisy is the reason why the average Cleveland fan didn’t deserve LeBron’s return.
Didn't deserve him? Guessing the average Cavs' fan can appreciate he helped us get a title. Sure, also many like me who have never liked him but can appreciate how great he is AND he helped us get a title. The ones complaining about him are just louder....in this case, it's not like he is wrong about what he said, though some of the wording could have been different.

Heat fans respectfully disagree with what wiggy said

I would too since he came aboard with Bosh in his prime. Not many other changes needed to be made. Also helped to be South Beach with a commitment from Lebron for a while.

Guess to be fair, without the well timed cap spike for GS could certainly make a case the Cavs likely get more than 1 title.

LeBron does what he always does

he goes somewhere- gets them to spend all their assets to win now- squeezes it for all its worth- and then gets outta town. Its pretty dirty.
First thought was to agree, but not so sure he knew he'd "get out of town" from Miami or even here when he came back. do think he knew well before he left, though, that he was leaving here both times.

Prime rib, mashed taters and collard greens will be on my plate come Saturday.

Along with some kind of bread (maybe garlic) and beer. To deal with all the kids.

Outside of James who had 36 and Westbrook who had 30, THT was the only other Lakers player to score in double figures. And Defense: Non-existent. That game last night was the worst I have witnessed this season except for the two big-game collapses against OKC.

James was the only player and maybe Westbrook who looked like they wanted to even play or give a damn about attempting a respectable playing effort. Forget about thinking about winning. These Lakers are not interested.

The apathetic, "I-don't-give-a-shit, I get paid", "Hey man, it's Christmas and I ain't playin D" attitudes were so obvious it was painful to even watch this LA shitshow that Pelinka (and James) has/have assembled!

It ain't going to be any better tomorrow on Christmas in front of a National audience. Loss number 5-in-a-row is on its way. What a poor excuse for a professional basketball team this train wreck is.
