That's on the coaching staff. Can't let him play 45 mins the first game back. That just isn't smart. It took Mark and Love about 3-4 games, granted Love doesn't play as many minutes as a starter or Embiid, you still have manage their minutes that goes for any player. NBA season is a long season. They should put a cap on his minutes at least for the first game, maybe the first couple. Playing tired and weak can only lead to more injuries.

It’s hard to plan for 2 OTs. He was 35 minutes and play both OTs.

Like I said before, you gotta build a team somehow. They need a nice draft and they need to just build the depth through FA.

The Thunder will have the PHX pick which is likely a bottom 3 pick.
They are rooting for the Clippers to be bad, that pick is unprotected. 11-11 record right now so maybe they slip into the lottery if they start playing bad.
Then they have their own pick which is likely to be top 5-6.
They won't get the Pistons pick.

A lot of bigs in the 22 draft. The Thunder need a pick. Holmgren would be ideal but will have to see how this college season plays out.
