I guess we didn't watch the same game. Very few of his 11 threes were tough because of the defense. Maxey was going underneath and not fighting through the screen all night. He has much work left to do in order to become a competent defender. Additionally, VanVleet's 7 dimes speaks to Maxey getting broken down off the dribble.

It is a significant difference if one is thinking of a minimum threshold of time a player can put together a Hall of Fame career.

Yeah, 10 seasons is the cutoff point for me for Hall of Fame consideration. There are some exceptions like Gale Sayers in football.
