Kawhi was on a legitimate championship contender, with solid pieces around him and had arguably the best coach in the league

AD was on a team who at best made the 2nd round, had a below average roster and a head coach who didn't last another two seasons after he left.

On top of that, after winning a championship and being on a great new team, AD actually re-signed with the Lakers. Kawhi bailed on the Raptors

And what's going on currently with the Lakers has absolutely nothing to do with this whole conversation.

I don’t love how he went about it, but there is a lot that goes into throws decisions beyond basketball.
