Every win is bitter sweet. It keeps Hynes in the picture but I'm still not buying in.

Exactly. A win is a win but there are some ugly/lucky wins.

A lot of talk that #9 agent says he won't sign during season. If that is indeed the case, Ray needs to move him sooner than later. If he gets hurt again, value is sunk for us. Love Hall, but mixed feelings about tying up so much money long term with his knee. If we could somehow get a 4-5 year deal that would be amazing but he's getting 7 for 9-10 easily somewhere if he stays healthy. Hopefully Ray plays that chip in a big way and gets some more pieces around Nico and Jack...a top pairing Dman prospect would be nice

I actually wouldn't be shocked if certain players improved in his absence. Does Nico step his game up? Do other guys take it upon themselves to become leaders?

He's noticeably weak defensively. Too late at this point but we really should have been in on Gardiner, transforms this group.

Beating a dead horse but my God is this a fireable game. Lethargic team, no structure, Ottawa is terrible and if not for 2-3 highlight saves by Blackwood this is a blowout. It's just unacceptable.

Yeah, and that dope Hynes just sits there with a dumbfounded look on his face, zero emotion or urgency and it trickles down to the team......performance reflects leadership

I don't even want to watch this team anymore. I never felt that way as a Devils fan until this year and I have been a die hard since the early 80s when they moved to NJ.
I am sure I will be suckered into watching on friday though, but still. This flat out sucks.

It's absolutely dumbfounded as to why we are so inept... there's no fun, no aspirations to win.... at least I make that claim base on their body language...

last night, at the bar, they had the Golden Knights game on... the same team that was in the stanely cup finals two years ago, that only existed for two years... they played fast, hard and relentless...

why are we so behind the ball with those three attributes?
