Well @Tomhusker it's been way too long since we saw great football on both sides of the ball. Line play has got to improve on O & D and team scheme, skills & speed really was a problem. My gut tells me it will take 4 or more years to get it all turned around. For now, I just hope we beat the teams we are supposed to, have no blow out losses to teams with equal or slightly better talent, and be competitive for 4 quarters with the elite teams in the conference.

DaiShon Neal said he has a squat of 665 and a bench press of 455. Holy shit, he's gonna be a beast when he grows up.

Something like 100 former players were at practice on Saturday

That's great. I hope it was great players from the past and not some of the turds who have disgraced the program over the last 10-15 years.

I haven’t seen a list of who was all there, Carriker and a few others spoke to the team after practice. I would imagine dudes such as Derrion Grim and KJJR didn’t get the invitation. A buddy of mine from hs was there

Carriker loves the program. Love his takes.

Good luck to the kid. Obviously smart enough to see the writing on the wall. A talented kid, for sure.

Not so sure. He was truly a high 3*. Low 4 at best. Couldn't beat out Tulane transfer Tanner Lee.

Colorado and Texas Tech were his only other P5 offers out of high school.

Colorado St and UNLV were his G5 offers.

I guess Arizona St could be in play now that Herm Edwards is corch.

what for? heard on the radio on my way home last night Washut was saying he might be the leader for starting unless Bryant can go. With Bell being the close 2nd.

There was practice footage on the news last night that showed Wilbon participating. Don't know if it was stock footage, but it was a feature on the depth at running back.

TBH I heard it through the grapevine. The guy I heard it from has been more off then on lately... I also heard that R. Green was being let get but that was months ago and nothing came from it. It doesn't really make sense that he would leave unless he was giving up football completely because he's a senior

Came across this quote from Jaylin Bradley. Pretty innocuous, but the bolded is something that I find encouraging. This is something that a lot of former players have commented on that was missing, compared to the championing years.

"I feel like we're a lot closer than we were last year. Especially the offense, if guys aren't finishing through blocks or something, everybody gets on them. So I feel like we're a lot closer."

BTN has a Nebraska Football Classic on right before the spring game airs ... I was thinking more along the lines of the 1997 orange bowl, but I guess a 2017 Nebraska vs. Purdue was more appropriate for BTN? Bullocks!
