Correcting BK on the daily
Any time NE doesn't have a starter fielding KOs or punts I'm happy,
Completely agree! I’d hold my breath every damn time Edelman was back there.

I would say with the players lost in FA the only way you can say the Patriots are in as equal of shape as they were last year is because of some of the players coming back from injury. While the players who left were not top of the line level players they were still big contributors to their run up of the Super Bowl. I think Solder could be the biggest loss especially if they can't get any of their guys still on the market to come back. This Tackle class in the draft is pretty darn bad.
Solder is definitely the bigger loss. That said, I think it is a net gain.
McCourty is as good if not marginally better than Butler, plus Shelton and Clayborn will make the defense much better.
Amendola was great at clutch moments. He could really be depended on when he was on the field.
When he was on the field.
Is anybody going to replace him? Not Patterson as a slot receiver, but Patterson's net gain as a kick returner may negate the Amendola loss when Edelman's return is factored in.
Overall, I feel good at this point in free agency.
I agree I do not see McCourty as a better corner than Butler not IMO, and other than Gilmore I am not to darn happy with any of the corners on the roster. The Pats signed Harrison last year, Clayborn and Shelton this year look for them to take best corner available with first selection. The Patriots definitely have a good roster. They didn't really need to do a whole lot to remain a top team by any means. I think though with some moves last year they put themselves up against the cap making it difficult to do much this offseason and meant they were for sure going to lose a few players.
As for the defensive players brought in. None of them move the needle for me. McCourty is a below average CB in the league. I do think he is a downgrade on Butler. Shelton...well there is a reason the Browns of all teams were willing to let him walk. Clayborn needs another pass rushing option on the other side to give him easier matchups and well the Patriots don't have that. This is why again I would say the players coming back from injury are the Pats best hope for an improved team beyond hitting in the draft.
Yes.Does anybody here think there is even the remotest chance that Cyrus Jones can end up being a good corner?
Hi this is Cyrus Jones I'd just like to say " I think I can, I think I can"Does anybody here think there is even the remotest chance that Cyrus Jones can end up being a good corner?
