I could go for some legit southern banana pudding. I say southern because it’s so much better where I grew up compared to where I lived up north

My mom used to make Banana Pudding for family gatherings. When we would all sit down to the buffet style meal there would be no Banana Pudding left.

Funny you mention that; being from the north and now seriously having made my home in the south, I have learned over the years to make some major adaptations in my cooking; banana pudding is one of them.

Parents divorced when I was six. I bounced back and forth between them until fourth grade. At one point, I went to six different schools in one year. 4th through my freshman year of college I was in Tennessee. Since then I have been back once, in 2007. I hated where I grew up.

My town was so small we got a McDonald’s my Senior year in high school and it was big news. No movie theater or even a bowling alley. Closest mall was an hour away. Dry county so no liquor. No beer on Sunday until after I left. There was just nothing to do. Also I was in the Bible Belt and my town was extremely conservative. Not getting political but I am flexible and can get along with either side but many there only saw things one way.
