Few pointers...

Cheek:
*UDFA in 2016 to the Saints
*Played OG at Texas A&M.
*Built like a OT, but lacks strength. Good athleticism for his size.
*Bounced around PS's (Texans & Chiefs) last season

Graham:
*Same knocks as Cheek, but is a tad more undersized.
*Signed with ATL last offseason as a rookie UDFA. Didn't make the final 53.

Collins:
*Has experience at both OG & C.
*Reputation for a mean streak.
*UDFA for JAX. Released & signed by LAR, but didn't make the final cut.

I think he has been traveling a lot. Doesn’t sound like anyone is worried he won’t sign. He’d be stupid to ask for more than his tender. He won’t get better than that anywhere else.

If he’s back at 100% by camp then I hope they do bring him back. But given the injury happened during the last postseason game there’s no way he could be healthy enough yet to be offered a contract.

Still... I’m rooting for him to come back

A backup role player getting a tendered offer sheet would be stupid to decline it. This is his 4th season. League minimum for 3 years accrued in the NFL is ~$700k. The RFA tender for a low round pick this year is $1.907mil. That's over 170% increase in base pay to a backup role player. That is very generous considering the Steelers could easily replace him with the draft.

Just doing up some reading on Eli......
Didn't look like he'll be back.....second injury since being a Steeler and his knee won't be ready four beginning of the season.....that sucks.

I think so. Even if we don't have a true FS at the moment. Wilcox is a hindrance on ST and that would be his only contributions this season so long as Davis & Burnett stay healthy.

Apparently this IPP program adds an additional spot to the NFL practice squads! Pretty damn cool!
