Let just hope Bruce doesnt out think himself Thursday. my wish list in order

Payne or Vea
Trade down and still get Payne or Vea
Fitzpatrick if he is there and both Payne and Vea are gone and we cant trade down
Trade way down, pick up an extra 1st next year and a 3rd this year, take Guice late in round one.

Thanks Cali, this gives me an idea, maybe I should create a new thread on it, but the question is...ranking them for our purposes, regardless of need and QB bias, who are the top 13 "FOOTBALL PLAYERS" in this years draft?

Mine are:

1. Bradley Chubb
2. Quenton Nelson
3. Saquon Barkley
4. Minkah Fitzpatrick
5. Roquon Smith
6. Tremaine Edmunds
7. Calvin Ridley/ DJ Moore (tie)
8. Derwin James
9. Sam Darnold
10. Denzel Ward
11. Da'Ron Payne
12. Will Hernandez
13. Marcus Davenport/ Mike Gesicki (tie)

I know alot of attention has been given to the early rd picks and rightfully so but what about some late rd prospects. Tremendous value can be found in the later rounds. I think this draft has numerous prospects who can bring some good value and really have no risk. One of my late pick is Allen Lazard of Iowa state. A red zone wr with good height 6/5 and is a descent blocker which will help in the RG. Not to fast 4.5 spd in the forty. He has some weakness but I like his value in the later rds.

THis is an awesome question. Admittedly I have not had the time to delve deep into the draft this year, and my plan was..

See what we do in the first round as far as pick/trade down or what ever, then from there start looking at what was available vs where we still need to make additions and dart board the hell out of it from there. :D

But I do like the Lazard idea.

Interesting that he's got Tremaine Edmonds over Rashaan Evans and Marcus Davenport. I think Edmonds might have the most pure talent of any defensive player in the draft. He's huge for a fast ILBer. He and Zach Brown together would be a tremendously athletic/big combo of ILBers - should help in run stuffing - inside and outside.

Agreed, how ever the only knock on Brown was that he wasnt adept at calling the defense either in DC, or in his last spot. Some guys are just point and shoot. Brown is one of those, meaning we need some one at ILB thats a starter calling the defense. Which might make Edmonds more of a rotational player with Brown more so than a replacement for Foster. At least in the short term (aka 2018 season)

Yep, different order but essentially the same. Interesting that neither of us included Vea and only one thought that Payne fit the bill. That said, it truly looks like we'll be drafting for need if the pick is one of those guys.
