I don't think Jerry should get much credit for the farm system outside of 1st round picks when it comes to players drafted. He said so himself on his podcast last week. He checks with his scouts to make sure players selected meet organizational philosophy, which he is directing, but admitted outside the first round, he really doesn't know any of the guys drafted.I like both picks this Logan Gilbert guy seems like a stud I think he is like 6ft 6in 221 pounds and stuckout 157 batters in 107 innings in college. He should be coming up the pipeline pretty fast I would imagine maybe in 2 years he will be making his debut. Same with Josh Stowers he looks like a solid CF with a good glove like another Dee Gordon with more power just not as fast maybe? Like Lesser Andrew MCcutchen better Austin Jackson?
I feel that Jerry is starting to rebuild this farm system he literally had no prospects when he took over. I still believe in Kyle Lewis and Evan White. Wyatt Mills and Seth Eledge both look good from the 2017 draft

right, that's what I was trying to convey. Ultimately he will be judged on farm system and picks, but in reality Jerry doesn't really know 95% of the players drafted.Too be fair, that's not really his job though. His job is to select the guys he hired to go scout the guys have rated highest based on whatever criteria Jerry's vision for the organization is. Realistically he gets the credit or the blame for the 1st round picks too but everything he says about these guys he is just saying in his words what other scouts have told him.
