It has nothing to do with the Big10 and everything with trying to get the best two teams in the CCG. Not just in the Big10 but the ACC has the best two teams in one division, usually the top two teams in the SEC are in one division.
Right, but that is right now, it's not an every year thing. You could add to that the fact that not 1 team has played a game and nobody knows who is going to be good and who is not. The players change every year, and while there are programs that are very good and churn out good teams on a regular basis, there are teams that turn out to be very good that everyone underestimates to start the year. That's the great thing about CFB, nobody knows until they strap them on and start hitting each other.
