No, Grichuk is taken... just saying Martinez could get an early run if Grichuk is hurt. A la Hazelbaker or whatever his name was last year.

...it's of less importance now though, with Judge getting the nod.

As to Lowrie and them.... yeah, I'll dig deep into pitching first. Three arms would be ideal.

Not trying to tell you what to do, just saying: be logical and don't overthink, two of my most favorite rules to disregard. :pound::pound::pound:

I'd focus on Shelby and Peralta, honestly. The guess there is whom you think might be drafted first.

That said, I'm off to go make a fucked up trade of my own in another league. :suds:

Kolten Wong gave my Gyorko pick a little bump today! When asked about his coach's remarks towards a possible platoon at 2b, Wong replied, "I really don't give a ****." Also told reporters he'd rather be traded than "waste" his time with a team that didn't believe in him.

LMFAO!!!!! Currently hitting .182/.265/.260 this spring, and hasn't done diddly poo outside of a HR binge for a few weeks one year.

Mighty demands.

Trade his ass, Matheny!

hahaha, what an idiot! Dude should just be happy to be on a MLB roster

Lowrie, Peralta, Triggs all picked up today by other teams.

I think I'm better off leaving the arms to 2-start streamers all season; just too much scouring to find nothing better than Jaime Garcia. Moving on to hitters....

Souza still looks intriguing. Staying with the Rays, LoMo is DH eligible. Looks like Grichuk is fine, so Martinez is out. Time to start digging.

So you're basically replacing Avisail Garcia with Cutch and Darvish with Shoemaker...man, it's so early, tho.

Yup. Garcia or Gyorko, as my DH/OF guys can move to UT.

...yes, it is si early. And Darvish is my #5 arm.... tough. Shoemaker should be top 30-40, and Cutch is, well, a giant headache to me right now!

After a TON of moves (shocking I know), here's my squad as of today.

C - Grandal
1B - Myers
2B - Schimpf
3B - Castellanos
SS - Beckham (picked him up only because of Tulo... thanks Tulo!)
MI - Seager
CI - Seager
OF - Stanton
OF - Judge
OF - Springer
OF - Altherr
DH - Victor Martinez
UT - Gyorko

Bench - Kennys Vargas, Matt Davidson, Brinson

SP (this week anyway) - Cahill (2), Tomlin (2), Tillman? (2.. if he starts Sunday), Griffin, Folty
Bench - Thor (fuckin Mets), Karns, Snell, Urias (hoping Urias and Snell learn to pitch into the 7th, let alone the 6th!)

Main trades were
...my Graveman.. for ..Folty
...my Trumbo and Chris Davis.. for ..Cueto and Victor
...my Mad Bum, Darvish, Bautista and Gomez.. for ..Quintana, Stanton, Price and Mancini
...my Price, Avi Garcia.. for ..Kyle Seager and Tillman
...my Cueto.. for ..Springer
...my Quintana, Gray, Tulo, Conforto.. for ..Corey Seager and Snell

I know you don't like that last one, Chef, but I foresee Tulo's "interest in baseball" will decline seeing how bad the Jays are. He will be more concerned with his hammy, than his average... which is declining anyway. It will bite me in the ass if Conforto continues to rake all season.

So I beefed up my hitters I think... now it's roulette with starters (maybe I like that anyway)

I actually have mixed feeling about that...liking Conforto more and more, and it goes without saying, Quintana; however, my stoopid side loves that you have both Seagers on the same team, and I am also a big Snell fan. Got the same concerns with you about the innings...not to mention the walks, which seem to be improving.

Anyway, you got extra special cake for the "fuckin Mets" remark. I have never seen a major market team with such horrible management. In baseball, that is.

With the Quintana deal, and Bum returning, thought I'd bring this thread back.

Since trading for and away Quintana, I did it again.

My Kyle Seager for JQ and Lackey (mid June)
My JQ, Clevinger for Godley and Napoli (needed DH during VMart's DL stint)

Trade deadline just passed and I had no takers on Thor (wish I traded him instead of Mad Bum now)

C - Grandal
1B - Myers
2B - Panik (traded away Folty at deadline)
3B - Castellanos
SS - Seager
MI - Wong
CI - Napoli
OF - Altherr, Judge, Springer, Stanton
DH - Victor
UT - Gyorko

Bench: Semien

SP - Godley, Kennedy, Matz, Musgrove and Bailey (Musgrove and Homer are 2-start streamers)
RP - Colome and Maurer

Bench: Wacha, Thor, Lackey, Skaggs, Velasquez, Giolito

16-12 going into second half (tied for 3rd)

Couldn't capitalize on getting a better arm, so streaming it is!

Maurer comes in the 9th with a 9-6 lead. If he gets the save, I win both games this week... two outs with 5 pitches, then a walk, RBI single, and a 2 run shot. Instead of jumping into 2nd, I split and stay at 4. (losing tie breaker with 3rd place)

That was after Godley's 5-0 blown potential win, which also would have put me over the top last night.

game of inches

Mmm...gotta come back to that Quintana/Conforto Seager/Snell deal...

Aw, I can't lie...I mighta done the same thing, just to get Seager. And I do love Snell, although he is doing his best to snuff that flame.

Lovin' Nicholas C right now, love your outfield, actually your entire infield is nicely solid.

But oh, that pitching...imo, not one guy you can depend on consistently. However, don't count Thor out just yet.

So right on the pitching. I'm paying for it at the moment... gonna need luck with 2-starters in the playoffs.

picked up a few new bodies...

dropped Wong and Altherr (yeah, probably prematurely), added Fisher and Brinson
added Weaver, Cotton and Rodrigo Lopez to my staff, also 2-start streamers Boyd and Adelman.
Homer, Musgrove, Matz, Giolito and Skaggs get the boot.

also, Maurer traded to KC, so he's gone. I'll be picking up Hand for now, but will probably lose him mid-week to another trade, like with Maurer (still get his points from innings/K's, but no saves anymore)

I love the Fisher and Brinson pickups, not so crazy about losing Altherr.

But you seem to be doin' pretty well, so what the hell. :suds:
