I just don't know if I like the idea of letting this kid's head get so big before he even steps foot on campus, and next thing you know he shows up and expects to automatically be the BMOC. IMO the best thing that could happen to him is that he gets here and immediately gets knocked on his ass by an upper classman and realizes that nothing is going to come easy.

The kids just having fun now, even if he were to have some sort of inflated ego, which I don't think is the case, I'm sure coach Williams would bring him down to earth with a loud crashing sound and all

There's already a good culture in place. That won't happen. The big headed ones get weeded out quick anyway. See Jordan Stevenson.

Signing big time recruits means signing big time egos. It's when they can't back it up once they get here or are too impatient with regard to playing time where you run into problems. It goes with the territory.

I'd rather have elite recruits with ego problems than shitty recruits who are humble. Egos are fixable. Talent is not.
