Justin Upton's is hot. I just don't think he will end up with a season where he will consider opting out of his contract with Detroit. Four years and $89.5mil is tough to give up when you have it in your hand. I see him in Detroit in 2020, hitting .220 with 170 Ks, 18 HRs, and 60 RBI....but still able to cash those paychecks Avila Sr. promised him.

Tigers could move to 4.5 games of the second wild card spot. The main drawback for them is that there are 6 teams BETWEEN them and that wild card spot AND another term only one-half game behind them. The American league is a cesspool of mediocrity. There is a good chance that a Wild Card team out of the AL could end being a .500 club or only a couple games over .500.
