Nope ... If Leyland wanted to manage he would still be here ... Mike Illitch was very loyal. An Interim manager will be either Alan Trammel or Omar Vizquel (based on my opinion alone).
Trammel managed them before and sucked Chris Shelton's ass.

My guess would be Lloyd McClendon.

Trammel managed the B - Squads down in Florida. He is currently assistant GM and could get a dugout view of the young talent.

My guess would be Lloyd McClendon.

I think Lloyd is one of those that has to go. The keeper on the staff is Vizquel.

For your sake I hope he dresses in male clothes instead of what he wore the Indians HOF ceremony.

Other than Bob Feller and Ricky "Wild Thing" Vaughn who else is in the Cleveland Indians Hall of Fame?
Lou Boudreau, Addie Joss, Jim Thome, Rocky Colavito, Sandy Alomar, Carlos Baerga, Larry Doby, Frank Robinson, Mel Harder, Bob Lemon, Joe Jackson, Nap Lajoie, Tris Speaker, Satchel Paige...just to name a few

What is Frank Robinson doing in the Indians Hall of Fame ... he hit 14 HR and batted .226 for the Indians.

Tell us doug, wasn't that hit, you mentioned, during the 5-6 year old Pee Wee League All Star Game? I imagine you had the T set just right and got all of that rubber-coated ball, with your bat hardly touching the T.
Now let's be honest doug...we all know there is no "Pitcher" in T-Ball games...but you may have been correct about the little curly headed blond girl who stood near the pitching mound. I think she was signed by the Symanski Hardware 'Cubs' the next season.

Yep.

This franchise is fucked in the head.

Possibly some lean (stinky) years in Detroit's future. Stuck with some un-tradeable contracts, a weak minor league system, and really no one to trade. There may be no way for a quick turn around. Even a few young players the team thought they could build on (Castellanos, Norris, Boyd, Jimenez) have not stepped up. Could be a slow deterioration as they wait for contracts to end and hope they stumble on some good low-level free agents or surprise prospects to get them through the lean years.

I didn't say I WANTED Lloyd Mac to be manager. I just think that's who will get the nod if/when Ausmus is fired.

The Tigers have now been shut out three times on this road trip. By the likes of Eric Skoglund, Tyler Danish and Brad Peacock/Houston bullpen. Pretty much unwatchable these days.

I know ... we are all speculating at this point. Another pathetic performance by the offense last night (against an inferior pitcher) hopefully will seal Lloyd future as well as Ausmus.

Skoglund had a 4.00+ ERA in Triple-A. No matter, he looked like a Cy Young candidate against the futile Tigers offense.
