His defense needs a lot of work. I like that he is shooting better, but he needs to take control of the game from the start. He seemed passive and turnover prone the first half. Just concerned that second and third string guards abuse him.
Not to make excuses, but the report was the arena was jam packed and the increased humidity had an effect early on.

IDK myself, however the play of both teams to start the game makes me wonder if in fact this had an impact or not.

Both teams turned it over early and often. I'm mean, by games end, Larry had 7 steals by himself!

They said normally the area isn't nearly as full for these summer league games but given the fact that Lakers fans are everywhere, Vegas being so close to LA, and No. 1 Simmons vs No. 2 Ingram facing off, the game was unusually full.
Russell too, mentioned all his turnovers early on and talked about his role in setting the tone instead of wanting to talk about the game winner. I've also heard Luke and the coaching staff talk about limiting the number of his turnovers per game so I'm sure that narrative has been something that will heard all throughout the season or until it is no longer a factor.

Strange to watch other summer league games that look like they're being held in high school gyms, then see these Vegas games drawing full houses. Not exactly a level playing field, lol.

In Vegas, teams are at UNLV on either mens or women's court.
They are adjoined with concessions in the middle.
Obviously the mens side is big business and seats around what most NBA arenas do.

Brandon Ingram is the real deal - the Lakers just picked off the best in the entire draft and Zubac is looking really damned good. The Lakers are going to be fun to watch this year y'all

Where were the Orlando summer league games held? Their practice facility? The local YMCA?

Apparently, Ingram may be still growing. A little extra height couldn't hurt, as long as his mobility isn't affected.

A FAR cry from the atmosphere at Vegas...

With 7 points, the Lakers (3-0) end up with the 5th. seed and get the first round bye. They will either play the (1-2) Cavs with 6.5 points or the (1-2) Celtics with 5.5 points.

Don't let the overall records fool you. The seedings are done by a point system and, as you can see, the teams are not that far apart. I couldn't find the points breakdown however I believe they talked about it during one of the broadcasts.

A point is earned for every quarter won. I'll guess a half point is earned for a quarter that ends in a tie.

So with that in mind the Lakers are +2 for game winning quarters vs the Cav & C's. So by subtracting the game winning quarters, the Lakers are actually -1.5 & -0.5 for all other quarters vs these two teams respectively.

Anyway, we get a First round bye, however I expect a competitive game tomorrow from either team that advances today.

btw, what does everyone think of that Auguste kid outta Notre Lame...?

if nothing else he gives effort and is a 6'10" PF, but i'm thinking his game's a tad suspect...

I was hoping Bass would come back but if nothing else happens he might be worth a shot. He does give it all during these games though!

I think he might get a camp invite, maybe end up with the DFenders. Not sure they'll sign him to the Lakers' roster, as they really need a PF with more range ideally. I wouldn't mind them looking at Thomas Robinson or Christian Wood though...although they may not want a 3rd string role. Novak is available, but does nothing else BUT shoot.

My error, Wood is on the Sixers roster (not sure why he was showing as a free agent on HoopsHype)

I liked him and if the Lakers don't pick him up, I think some one will
