I was mostly joking. Usually my glove is either on the front seat of the cart or on the ground with my wedge if I missed the green.

Tees, ball, marker and green repair tool are always in the right front pocket though :thumb:

So what is your take on the Ryder cup? There has got to be some red ass on this team.
1) we've gotten our ass kicked for years
2) the king just died!

All hail the king!

I'm pulling fot the Yanks in a big way, but I'm so disappointed that Davis Love III is the Captain :L

I can't think of anyone less inspirational than him.

Why not guys like Pavin or Lehman? Strange?

I would hope that these guys could pull together in a frat boy way and just get after it. I think the match play format favors the Euros since it makes bad holes disappear and I think that the Americans need to putt well.

I also think that the selection process/timeline for the U.S. team is bad and it ultimately leaves one or more of their hottest players off the squad.

They should get after it. Who is hot that got left out?

I haven't followed the selection process at all this time around, but I do remember Billy Horschel sitting at home last go round while Jim Furyk & Keegan Bradley puked all over their shoes.

It's hard to be super pumped for a US win only because they've choked or flat out gotten beat pretty much every year since Brookline.

As I've said before, I like the make up of this team. They've got power players, they have strong wedge players, and they have plodders like Kuch that are just consistently pretty good. They have the home field crowd...they just need to start out strong and not be down 3 or 4 points going into singles trying to come back.

Exactly....it's one thing to try to change things up, but a task force and 15 asst captains, just put some thought into the pairings (particularly alternate shot) and tee it up and go...don't be afraid to pull a top player that's not playing well.

I like a lot of the Euro players, but this is the only time I really care who wins...I'm all in for the home team.

On top of that, you got Johnny Miller claiming this is the weakest Euro team in years and DLIII stating his 12 could be the best team ever. While I do believe the European squad to be the underdogs, I bet they love that status heading into Friday. If USA loses, I'll really look forward to their press conference afterwards. I'd almost feel sorry for them.....almost.

In other news, I noticed the course/setup and looking at the par 5's, three of the four are over 600 yards. I suspect the americans set it up that way to take advantage of their supposed better iron play (I don't have any stats one way or another on that one). Apparently, the rough is non-existant, so no real advantage there either.

Just finished watching the opening ceremonies. Here are the highlights as I saw them:

Darren Clarke delivered a much more polished and thought out speech than Love. Davis looked a bit awkward being the center of attention

The pros out of "uniform" look weird - kinda normal. But I tell ya, can really see a lot of hair loss on the US team.

The Euros in the black suits and glasses looked like CIA operatives. Laughed my ass off when they showed a shot of a stern faced Stenson. Looked just like The Terminator

And Tiger Woods!! He looked horrible. At least 10LBs overweight and sweating like a fucking race horse. What's up with that?

USA has already taken 2, and are likely to get 1 more at least from the first 4 matches.

If somehow Mickleson and Fowler can tie it up, this could be a perfect start for 'Merica.

4-0. Clean sweep for USA in Friday morning session. I figured america would win, but this has the makings of a wipeout.

Great morning performance, but the fat lady is not singing yet...they need a split in the afternoon imo to take a 6-2 lead into Sat.

So far... US up in 1, Euros up in 1, 2 matches AS, but the Euros threatening to go up...squashed by Reed! He and Spieth stay AS.

See what I mean...Euros up in 3 matches...Reed and Spieth could lose another hole as Stenson damn near has a hole in one.

Damn, Stenson birdie conceded. Spieth and Reed barely missed birdies to halve.

Euros are now 3up, 2up, and 2up. US is 2up in their lone leading match.

5-3 certainly must look good heading into Saturday (if they can hold on) for Euro given being down 4 in the morning. Conversely, I'd imagine the US would feel a bit uneasy.

Rory is the engine for the Euros ....Somebody needs to beat him not just for the points but for a morale killer.

Spieth and Reed with one of the epic choke jobs of Ryder Cup history.
