So, in 2015, Riley coached against two teams he was very familiar with.
Began the season with BYU, did not know what type of team he had in Nebraska. It showed.
Ended the season with UCLA, was lucky that academically Nebraska student athletes got the 5-7 Huskers into a Bowl Game. The Cornhuskers mauled UCLA.
Now, another familiar opponent is coming to visit Mike Riley in Oregon. In 2003, Mike Riley Oregon State lost to Fresno State.
If I have this right, Mike Riley is 4-12 against Oregon and 0-7 the last 7 games.
Let us hope that Riley, Langsdorf, and Banker now know how to beat Oregon with the talent they have. Oregon is in a down slump, lost their OC, had a bad defense, hopefully, Nebraska has it tuned up and is ready to play on September 17.
Did you know that Mike Riley is 7-2 in college bowl games?
