Brian Gregory's last game at GT was the most Brian Gregoryish game imaginable. They looked like the better team all game, but choked it away at the end by fouling as BC shot a 3 as the shot clock expired. After all of that, they still had a shot to take the lead at the end, and they missed a layup.

That team is pretty decent. With a coach who can turn those 1 point losses into 7 point wins, they could be a tourney team next year.

I agree. GaTech is a sleeping giant. But Brian Gregory has been awful. They just cannot get over the hump. It didn't help that his best player goes out with a broken foot either.

Why did the ACC change its format to Championship Game on Saturday?

Same time slot as Big East.

I think most teams are trying to move away from the Sunday games as the Selection Committee has said they don't factor in the results of late games on Sunday (unless it involves a team that wouldn't get an at-large bid winning a tournament)

It makes sense to want your entire tournament to be factored in. I think I also read a quote about Ol' Roy wanting his guys to have a day to enjoy the win before they have to worry about the NCAA tournament.

I always thought it was awkward to have three or four tourneys finishing up just minutes prior to the selection show. Sounds like a good move to finish on Saturday, or early Sunday.
