Honestly, I like the slower times when all of us hardcore folk can discuss football in peace without having to worry about being flooded by trolls, nonsense, etc. And it keeps my mind off the fact that we don't have football to watch right now.

I agree… I'm from the ESPN forums originally and it was 24/7 - 365 trolls… One thing is for sure with this site, I can usually read every post in a thread and not feel dumber for doing so. At ESPN I had to sift through a lot of bullshit if I wanted to have a meaningful discussion.

Same. ESPN was a circus. I normally lurked on the main boards and posted on the team boards. But even the team boards got ruined by trolls sometimes. It was plain to see that ESPN either didn't care about the boards, or the staff was just horrible and didn't understand troll control.

I stayed away from the main boards. I threw out the occasional comment on articles, but I tried to stick to the Steelers forum. But you wouldn't have known it was the Steelers forum judging by the number of Ravens fans that were FREQUENT 'visitors'… :rollseyes:

Luckily nobody really has a reason to troll Georgia Tech, so our boards stay civil. Same with the Dolphins boards. You'll get the occasional Pats or Jets troll drop by and talk about how much we suck or whatever, but nothing major.

You're lucky… Baltimore fans always felt the need to make fun of the Steelers... I guess the "little brother" always felt they needed to prove themselves to "big brother".

Looks like as long as San Fran shows up we should be able to get this done. Also those times for the next draft sound good. I coach golf and have some of my own Pro-Am tournaments starting up around that time but should have no problem leaving a list or having an Assistant GM make the pick.
