I was surprised Kirksey was still there that late in round six, I assume that most people think he is to small to play LB in the NFL and they may be right. But he is very agile and tracks the ball well also moves well in open space, pretty fast guy I took him wondering / thinking he could be converted to a SS which is a need for the Pats.

This mock has been full of reaches/questionable picks so it doesn't surprise me... I'm pretty sure a lot of the GM's weren't keeping track of who was picked or not, so my guess is Kirksey was probably assumed to be gone. I would have taken him if I needed a LB/SS type prospect. He would definitely be a project type player, but will be a great ST contributor regardless of size.

Definitely... He is the same size as Ryan Shazier, whom many think could play LB in the NFL. But I think it would be an easier transition to SS (depending on speed), like you said.
