Dang it Aaron Donald was a guy I was hoping would slip to the Broncos at 31. I knew it was a long shot but a man can dream. The guy is just a beast in the middle and should fit well with the Cowboys adding another disrupting force to get after the quarterback.

That's right where many mocks have Donald being selected.

I think it depends where you look. I have seen him as high as somewhere around pick 12 and as low as end of the 2nd by some scouts. To me he is a top 15 pick but I do know some analyst that don't have them in their top 50 players in the draft.

I don't think he is the top DT in the draft. I personally have him as the 3rd best NFL DT in the draft.

Who do you have above him? To me the only knock on him is he is a bit undersized for the DT position.

I think it comes down to the system with Donald, there are some that he just wouldn't fit. For a NT, I liked Louis Nix a lot, but I think Donald is a great fit as a 3T for Dallas

Yes, great job, I also went and added the 2nd round to the draft board. I don't know about Dallas, he made a trade but hasn't been seen in days...

I'm pretty sure you are missing a team in the 2nd round prior to the Steelers? Because we have the 47th overall pick in round 2 if I'm not mistaken??? Pick 15th in the 1st Rd, should pick 15th in the 2nd Rd. (32+15=47)

Am I missing something?

Pitt has the 14th pick in the 2nd round. The way the draft works is those teams with the same record will be on a rotation so that an 8-8 team say doesn't get to be ahead of the other 8-8 teams the whole draft. So like for Pitt they had the 15th in the 1st round 14th in the 2nd round and 19th in the 3rd round 18th in the 4th round and so on.

Thats not how it always works. If two teams were tied record wise, and they coin flipped for position or whatever, they would switch spots in the next round

Yep. There are just too many guys who could get drafted in the 20-32 range & if you don't draw attention to a specific guy, he might go unnoticed & drop further down.

Good to know... I remember reading something about this but it was much more confusing than the way you stated it.

Small for an NFL 4-3 DT...quickness is his game...we liked him as a potential 3-4 DE.

He is way small for a 3-4 DE. The trend is for 3-4 DE(s) to be taller stronger guys like Watt & Campbell. The quick DE are usually more suited for 4-3.
