Heels drop the series against GT. They moved Sunday's game up to Saturday for a double-header. Unfortunately, the first game went 13 innings. By the time the second game started, the young Tar Heels were speant. GT beat the crap out of them 9-1 in the rubber match.

It was also announced over the weekend that we have lost our closer for the year. Blood clot in the throwing shoulder, requiring surgery. He will likely go pro after this season, so we need to develop someone soon for that role.

Looks like it will be a down year for the Heels...been quite a run since 2006.

Announced this weekend that closer, Chris McCue, will miss the remainder of the season due to a blood clot in his left shoulder. Will be undergoing multiple proceedures to correct the problem throughout the spring. Trouble is he is a Junor and will likely get a pretty good draft slot.

Meanwhile, the Heels continue to struggle offensively, dropping a game against lowly Wintrhrop 3-1 tonight. Looks to be a long season for the Tar Heels with their youth and injuries.

Yesterday, Duke trailed UNC 6-1 in the third inning. Then rallied to tie it at 6-6. Fell behind again 8-6 in the Sixth Inning. Scored 2 in the 7th Inning to tie it up again. Won the game in the bottom of the 12th. That's why you never give up. And, beat the heels again today 3-2.

UVa handled business again, this time sweeping those UVa rejects from Blacksburg. Another sport where UVa is on top of the division, while the Hokies are in last.

After dropping two games to Clemson, the Terps beat VCU 5-2. VCU is a good team. They're ranked #23 in the RPI.

UVa takes 2 of 3 from Clemson. GT takes 2 of 3 from FSU. Florida takes 2 of 3 from USC.

Missed this post. Sorry bro. No, I do not know if they'll make it up. It would only make sense that they would, but since when does the admins. do anything that makes sense.

UVa beat #22 Liberty during the week, then swept GT this weekend.
FSU took 2 of 3 vs UNC
Miami swept Duke
Notre Dame took 2 of 3 vs Clemson
Maryland swept Pittsburgh
