I have been tracking all sorts of things pertaining to the Giants in 2013. Here are some things my Excel file shows.
RISP with Oxy (April 1-May 25) = .286
RISP without Oxy (May 26-September 1) = .232
RISP with Oxy (September 2-September 29) = .274
Looks like he made a difference with RISP.
Giants finished averaging 2.9 walks per game (16th in MLB)
Giants scored 629 runs , averaging 3.88 per game (21st in MLB)
In comparison, in 2012, they scored 718 runs, averaging 4.43 runs per game, for a decrease of 0.55 runs per game for 2013)
Giants gave up 691 runs (643 earned), averaging 4.27 per game (19th in MLB) (ERA was 4.00)
In comparison, in 2012, they gave up 649 runs, averaging 4.01 runs per game, for a increase of 0.26 runs per game for 2013)
Adding the increase in runs allowed and the decrease in runs scored, the 2013 Giants were 0.81 runs per game worse in 2013 than in 2012.
Pitching let us down this year, but not as badly as the hitting let us down.
Additionally, the 2013 Giants committed 107 errors, an actual decrease from 2012 (114 errors). They were much better defensively after the ASB than before.
The Giants were 43-51 before the ASB, and 33-35 after the ASB
The pitching staff had shut down innings 80.4% before the ASB, and a dreadful 70.1% after the ASB.
The 2013 Giants were:
20-32 in the opening games in series (.385)
21-26-5 in series

49-36 when committing no errors
22-28 when committing one (1) errors

0-4 when committing three or more (3+) errors
Giants were 28th in turning double plays (128)
Giants were 8th in GIDP (131)
