If Movie 43 doesn't take Worst Picture, then the Razzies have lost all credibility. I have the misfortune to have actually paid to see that in the theater. I am stupid.

Got a pair of snotty nieces who are 22 and 20 and think they know it all. They're always giving me flack about ragging the bad movies out there because "if you didn't watch it, how do you know how bad they are?" As if the internet doesn't exist and they live in some parallel universe. "Will Smiths son isn't a bad actor! He was great in the Karate Kid movie!!!" I kid you not.

Anyway, I warned them about what was posted about After Earth. My sister still Redbox'd it one night to try to prove it wasn't that bad. I got a report that halfway through, they were soo shocked with how world class stupid and bad it was and the nieces actually bail to their rooms with fake homework excuses and hide like a bunch of owned preteens. Both of them need lessons like this about P.T. Barnum and not being a sucker. Thank god for Uncles.

Seriously, when I saw the trailer for that movie I almost gagged. A friend of mine said it looked like it might be good. I considered choking him out but decided that was a little extreme.

I will never watch that movie, nor will I watch the new Karate Kid.
