Like I said before he took the trip here, if he thought Oregon State's facilities were great (as he said), then he was going to blow his wad when he saw Nebraska's.

I find it odd that Oregon State of all schools was able to land him right away in the first place............blows my mind.

Don't care. He never sounded like being a husker was something he'd dreamed of or that it would be a special thing for him to go here. We were just another school on his list.

I'll be honest, I watched Valentine's videos, and I just didn't see an aggressive, fast, killer prospect.

Like irule, I saw a chubby slow guy.........and just didn't see the potential. I was never big on Valentine, and I'm not upset one bit about the fact that he'll more than likely be a Gator.

Leggett not the highest on FSU board?

The Florida State Seminoles would certainly like to add four-star cornerback A.J. Leggett, but they appear to have their sites set a little higher at the cornerback position. Five-star corner Ronald Darby visited Tallahassee this weekend and had a great time watching the Seminole basketball team knock off North Carolina. The talented cornerback will now take a visit to LSU and then make a decision on where he wants to play football.

Darby’s visit to FSU and the positive vibes makes it hard to envision the Seminoles being able to take a commitment from A.J. Leggett. The FSU staff will likely want to wait things out with Darby before they lock up the final defensive back spot. I’d already felt like Nebraska was the leader with Leggett, but the fact he’s a backup plan for the Seminoles is another detail that could help the Huskers. The cornerback is expected to visit Lincoln on Jan. 27.

Leggett is an extremely talented player. He’d be able to learn several different spots on the defense and could even challenge for immediate playing time at the nickelback position. There is concern about Leggett’s eligibility because he was turned away by Miami, but he should be cleared to compete by the NCAA.
