Most people don't know this, but the NIT Tournament was once bigger than the NCAA championship. Not sure why, but when all the games were in NYC that sucker could fill the house every night.
Today, picking a winner is basically analyzing which team, rejected by the NCAA, has less of a chip on their shoulder and really wants to win it.
Some teams who were close to a bid to the NCAA will collapse immediately because they hate being here and want the season to end. Then, maybe someone that's good but had no chance to make the big dance, will step up and win.
Just a hunch, but I like Mississippi, Seton Hall and Tennessee.
Don't think I've ever seen so many 20-win teams in the NIT. It's a respectable tourney this year. Grats to the Viles, go SEC.
We came out fast against Savannah then we hit a wall and were only up at 2 at one point. I just found out that I'm going to be subbing for a buddy of mine if we make it to the finals on the NY trip!! SO GO VOLS!!!!!!!

I heard the crowd (6k) was very loud and energetic the other night. Some said it was louder than some of the 15-20k games.
