Yep... I know... What the heck is BRS doing this so early for...

Well, the board has been a little slow lately and 99% of my time revolves around football, so I made up the entire Rep Rewards Challenge for the upcoming season.

I do not expect anyone to start picking their teams... yet, (unless you’re nuts!) but the schedule is made. Now... the other purpose of me doing this now is that.. if for some reason... I am not around to do this... someone else can just copy and paste each week as the season goes on.

For those of you who are new to the Husker Board, and want to participate... the rules are simple. Just post (Copy that weeks schedule and Bold the team you are picking) then post below that weeks Rep Rewards Challenge Schedule. The poster who gets the most correct will be repped by all other players...

At the end of the year the poster will be named the Rep Rewards Champion (For that season). Last year was our first contest and I think most everyone enjoyed it.

This is not limited to husker fans so people like Poop, BSF, Tox and anyone else can participate as well...

If it gets too big... we could ask Ghost if he can actually make this part of the site... and link it and have a page where we could just have check boxes and it would automatically calculate winners.... Good idea Ghost... Good Idea :D

Anyway... Remember, the winner of each weekly contest is to be awarded by each participant (a rep)

This post may have to be dug up when we get closer to football season.. but we should be able to find it...

"If you have no Honor... Don't Participate"

Hey BRS,

Wow, early list!....I was wondering how you select the games? I understand you don't have us pick the Husker games and I'm cool with that, but last year we were picking most of the Big XII games....Just glancing through the list, it seems like we will be picking more Big XII games still than Big 10....

I know most of us (well ok, at least me) would probably suck at knowing who is better between Purdue and Illinois this year as opposed to a Baylor vs Okie Light game, but I would be in favor of the games being more of the Big 10 flavor even though it will take me a bit to learn all the new teams.....

Just putting it out there, food for thought.....It's your idea sir, and you've done a great job with it.....although how do you consistently win the thing week after week??? ;) :D

I use my Ouija Board of course!

No actually, I am a national CFB handicapper and I selected the games that I believe give me the best chance to win! So this answers both the why questions of… why these games and why last year I won... LMAO...

NOT!

Just random... I was bored and just selected11 games each week and two tie breaker... No ryme or reason... just because....

I looked at all of them and some of the Big 10 games like Ill, vs. Pur or Minn vs. ?? I would have skipped... not because any one reason... but just because may not have the national appeal as others.

Anyway... as we all get used to the Big Ten next year... things will change probably... LOL

Don't be hating on BRS now!!! LOL ......:(.......

Not that it matters much but...

33 games involving B12
19 games involving B10

approx 152 games total

thus 152 - 33 = 119 - 19 = 100 games outside of Big 12 & Big Ten...

I would put Nebraska in each week, but if I did and if I picked them each week, then we would go 0-12 and you all would blame me. It always seemed that when I would pick us to win, we would lose...

LOL at being Superstitious... :L

But don't be hating on BRS....
........ :D........ :(

Not a shred of malice in this here Husker heart towards BRS or any other Hooplan sir....:)

I simply pointed out an observation, then you ran the numbers sir....only 19 Big Ten games? Out of love and adoration, might I meekly make a suggestion? Maybe we could add one extra Big Ten game a week to where we pick 12 games instead of 11?

Other than that, your diligence, dedication, and committment to putting together a schedule for the 2011 Rep Rewards Challenge is unparalled and demonstrates your top level of excellence. I don't think it possible anyone else could of came up with a finer list of pick-em games for the upcoming season....

Oh, and while it is almost impossible to even think about picking the winners at this early stage, I commend you for your courage and steadfast leadership in picking the games that will be the intriguing matchups each week. It's not lost on us how insurmountably difficult that is, and you have our utmost respect sir.....Having said that, I personally would have no problem whatsoever bestowing upon you the honor of absolute discretion. If for any reason, you wish to modify the schedule later on to include interesting matchups that may develop or remove some games that might not develop into such an interesting matchup, I hereby put forth the motion to grant you such power. Only because you've historically shown such aptness and professionalism am I confortable putting forth such a motion.....Some times unforseen things can arise......Who would of thought in February of 2010 that Texas wouldn't even make a bowl game?

....LOL...ok, I"m done rambling......

LOL @ me feeling like taking over the comfy couch 'round this place....first I advise JJM how to make the new banner, then I'm advising BRS on the rep challenge program.....:D
