SportsSportsHoopla NFC East Expert, Joe Gibbs chimes in with the Redskins current needs:

Well, the Redskins have needs at a lot of positions and do not have a lot of picks available. They may be trying to move players for picks, but the only players that may get any return of merit would be tight end, Chris Cooley who could fetch them a late 3rd rounder or early 4th and safety, Laron Landry who should fetch them a 2nd ,or a 3rd and 4th.

The Redskins greatest need is obviously a new owner, followed closely by a new coach. Outside of that, they could really use a new quarterback, some bigger wide receivers, a new corps of running backs, a stalwart right tackle and interior offensive linemen. On the defensive side of the ball, with the move to the 3-4, they need a nose tackle, two 3-4 defensive ends, another outside linebacker, two inside linebackers an a couple of safeties. They also could use a complimentary cornerback to DeAngelo Hall.

Overall the Redskins need an entire new offense and defense, and a new front office and management group. They are very deep at the tight end spot however, so I would assume they may take another one here so they can fit in the "top 5 units" section of at least one publication at some position.

WE HAVE A TRADE TO ANNOUNCE:

The Washignton Redskins have traded the 10th pick in the 2011 SportsHoopla Mock Draft to the New England Patriots for the 17th and 33rd pick and future considerations/a late round pick to be named later (since we don't know how deep we are going in the mock draft)

The New England Patriots are now on the clock.
