2011-2012 Refs Hate Devils thread

I want to keep track of all the absolute fuck ups from the refs during this season. its going at a pace of once per game so far.

-Brad Mills is body checked by the Linesman. Other team comes the other way and scores after sustained pressure against the tired 4th line

-Clarkson's cycle is stopped dead from ref's skate and allows opponents to line change

-Clarkson's goal is called off because Tallinder was called for "encroachment of the crease" despite the rule about being in the crease no longer existing.

-POS goal on devils called good because the puck was kicked through Salvador's stick

This isn't even including the amount of times they got in the way of the puck or a Devils player.

guess we can add that blown hooking call on the 2nd goal for the Jets... are you fucking kidding me nobody saw that?

The hooking call was real bad because it directly led to a goal, and at first I thought ok it's late in the game they put their whistles away, but then about 40 seconds later they called hooking in the other end. Awful.

Parise fell, puck went in off skate with 2 seconds left, they called it a DISTINCT kicking motion in Toronto, TiLo went on killing spree in saints row 3

Finally got to see the replay of it...

The motherfucker didn't even call it a kicking motion. The piece of shit just said the puck was propelled into the net by a skate so it should not be a goal.

I've been using it for any blatant disregard of rules or when the refs physically disrupt the devils play.

I've been staying away from bad penalties because typically the refs are just as awful for the other team.


On a side note, I'm still waiting on the NHL to go out and actually call the Parise goal call off a distinct kicking motion. The call on the ice made no reference to a kicking motion and the NHL's public response to the ruling also avoided any words related to kicking motions. The call was very questionable and the reasoning for it causes more confusion.
