Okay, its kinda late to make this thread, but hopefully there is enough action to get enough people to play.

A couple of points to clarify:

a) For the "first" categories (hat trick, shutout, coach to be fired, and first player suspended), the category remains open until at least one participant has the winner (e.g. if Daniel Sedin records the first hat trick and no participant entered Daniel Sedin, then the hat trick category remains open until a player records a hat trick and a POTY participant has entered that player.

b) The "first" is determined at the end of the day - For example, if The Miller records the first shutout in Buffalo in one of the early games and Bossman has The Miller , we have to wait until the later games have completed before making that declaration (as Bobby Lou may record a shutout at Rogers Arena and then both Bossman and puckhead win the shutout category)

c) As far as suspensions are concerned, all suspensions "earned" in the pre-season and not considered for the POTY. Only suspensions from October 6, 2011 forward are eligible.

Entries will be accepted until 7:00 PM ET Thursday October 6th. Once all the entries have been received, I will post everyone's entries in a separate thread and you can verify/correct any entries I may have fouled up.
