The Nebraska Athletic Department and NET Television announced Friday that seven Nebraska baseball games will be televised statewide on the network this spring.
All seven contests will be carried across Nebraska on NET-1 and in high definition on NET-HD. In addition, six of the games will be simulcast to CBS College Sports for national distribution. CBS College Sports is carried on most cable systems around the country and on DirecTV and DISH Network.
The 2009 telecast schedule begins on Tuesday, April 6, as the Huskers host Creighton in the first of three matchups between the programs this season. First pitch from Hawks Field is set for 6:35 p.m. and the game will also be carried nationally on CBS College Sports. Five of the NET contests will air in April, including home games against Wichita State (April 13), Kansas (April 18), and Texas A&M (April 30), along with the Huskers’ first game against Creighton at Rosenblatt Stadium (April 20).
The May schedule includes a pair of games, including the Huskers’ final regular-season game against Creighton in historic Rosenblatt Stadium on May 18, and the middle game of Nebraska’s series against Texas Tech (May 22).
A total of eight Husker baseball games will be televised in 2010, as Nebraska’s game at Texas on March 21 will be carried nationally on Fox College Sports. All of NU’s games in 2010 will be aired by the Husker Sports Network and on the Internet at Huskers.com.
