Texas had a great offense and great defense

Texas easily. That Texas team had more talent than this year's LSU team could ever dream of. 21 players were eventually drafted off of that '05 Texas team. The defense alone had 4 1st rounders and a total of 12 players drafted from the defense. Out of the 12 players drafted on defense, 4 DB's are starters (1 pro bowler Michael Griffin), and 4 DL are starters (1 pro bowler Brian Orakpo).

I just put the guys who are notable in the NFL...the rest of the team either got drafted and haven't been that noteworthy or didn't get drafted but they were all great that year...guys like Quan Cosby, Selvin Young, Limas Sweed, Ramonce Taylor, lots of linemen and LB's like Rodrique Wright and Tim Crowder. Ahmard Hall has been the Titan's FB for a long time too, forgot about him.

As an LSU fan picking as of Nov 22, 2011 I would say Texas. If LSU goes undefeated and wins the title this year the homer in me will require that I chance my vote to LSU.

As of right now all we know for certain is LSU is a really good team, they havent won the title yet. I have to give Texas the edge right now since they did win the title.
